Corten and brick are combined to reinvent the modern townhouse.
Through intelligent spatial planning and a creative design approach, 4 Revelstoke Road increases the density of a redundant suburban site, reanimates the streetscape, and encourages social diversity. Revelstoke Road is an exemplar, small-scale project that addresses the rising demand for housing. By rethinking a 600 sqm redundant commercial site, it was possible to create nine high-quality homes in a contemporary interpretation of the London townhouse. It would be an honour to receive the New London (Housing) Award in recognition of rethinking and re-inventing the city suburb as an important part of urban infrastructure.
“This scheme is exactly the sort of development Wandsworth Borough Council should be encouraging.”
