Corten and brick are combined to reinvent the modern townhouse.
The design for Revelstoke Road is a reinvention of the traditional townhouse typology. Clad in local stock brick with accented corten projections, the rhythm and proportion of the streetscape is in keeping with the local context, while introducing bold new textures and materials to identify this contemporary development.
Comprising nine, two and three bedroom single floor and duplex apartments the proposal maximises the site potential. A basement was introduced to enable duplex apartments to house bedrooms below with above ground living spaces. Street access through private courtyards ensures maximum external amenity for residents as well as an active street frontage.
“This scheme is exactly the sort of development Wandsworth Borough Council should be encouraging.”
