Acton Mixed Use
A mixed-use education and residential development will create a new urban space and regenerate a land-locked public park in Acton.
The proposed regeneration of the Ealing site includes a new purpose-built 6FE secondary school and 300 place sixth form, together with new sports hall facilities available for out-of-hours community use.
An enabling residential development accommodating up to 103 apartments is proposed, in a staggered arrangement of towers above the lower level school. The height and scale of these buildings will respond sensitively to the neighbouring context including adjacent residential properties and church.
The mixed-use activation of the site will further regenerate this underutilised area, delivering new urban spaces for the local residents with views and easy access to the existing park.
The significant Woodlands Building – a local landmark – will benefit from the improved access, as well as the upgraded public realm and facilities.
