Kingston Community School: Planning Permission Approved
We are delighted to announce that we have gained planning committee approval for a mixed use scheme on the site of Kingstons House, providing a new home for Kingston Community School.
The site includes a new primary school for 420 pupils, together with a 19 unit residential scheme. The approval was met with applause by local supporters and the design was described by the committee as a high quality architectural proposal.
Kingstons House is a 1960s office building located in the heart of Norbiton on the corner of Station Road and Coombe Road. The proposal to demolish the existing building and provide a new primary school and residential development represents an important opportunity to enhance this underutilised site. This initiative will not only provide much needed state of the art education facilities for the Borough, but also high quality housing for the local community.
