We are delighted that after four years, Architecture Initiative has sustained growth and success in terms of projects, clients, sectors and staff – with 20 now based in our central London Studio.
We thank our clients for their support; from a handful of projects in 2012, AI have now been commissioned on over 200 projects across ever broadening sectors, with current work in the studio of over £500m.
It is our team which makes the practice and we ask you to join us in celebrating the promotion of four key staff to Associate level.
Anna, Craig, Rob and James will bring their considerable experience and skill to support the directors and contribute to the structured growth of the practice.
We wish all four of them the greatest success and look forward to seeing their increasing contribution to the work of the practice and their further career development.
These well-deserved promotions recognise the particular role that each of them plays, and demonstrates the value we place on everyone in the practice in contributing to our success.
Anna, a qualified Australian Architect, joined us in 2015 and has already made a big impact – her highly developed design and organisation skills are being successfully employed across a number of large scale mixed-use projects.
Anna is an excellent communicator, motivating the studio team to achieve the best results, and always leading from the front.
Already successfully running multiple projects, her organizational abilities have made a significant impact on the studio since her recent promotion.
Craig has worked with all three directors previously and was the first AI employee, demonstrating his confidence in the new practice, and he has been an absolutely key member of the team ever since.
Craig plays a critical part in the development of pre-planning stage design across a number of large scale, complex projects, and his passion for design has had a significant impact on the work of the practice.
Recently qualifying as an Architect (well done, Craig!), he involves himself in everything that we do at AI and will make an undoubted contribution to the management of the practice in his new position.
Rob has also been with AI almost from the start, joining in 2013, and his highly developed technical and delivery skills enabled the practice to move quickly into the construction of larger more complex projects. Rob is very much involved across all of the post planning stage work and is highly regarded by clients, contractors and other consultants.
Rob is now working with James Pooley, at management level to ensure the quality of detailed design and construction information is maintained across the whole AI portfolio, as well as heading up innovation and technology research across the practice.
James joined us from a major practice and project background in 2015, to work with Rob Powell to develop a structured and effective team to deliver detailed design and construction information – enabling us to engage in larger project work and successfully support clients and contractors in the successful delivery of good buildings.
James has already made a big impact, running a highly complex and high value mixed use project in Northamptonshire; and as part of the management team his calm and considered approach will now be employed across all of the projects in the studio.
We wish all four of them the greatest success and look forward to seeing their increasing contribution to the work of the practice and their further career development
